TeleHealth 101

The counselors at Samaritan Counseling Center are trained and/or certified to provide counseling through TeleHealth. This service allows clients and counselors to remain connected from the comfort of their own homes. All you need is a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop with audio and/or video capabilities. TeleHealth sessions are proven to be as effective as in-person counseling.

What can you expect?

Clients will call our office (409-727-6400) to schedule their first TeleHealth appointment. At this time, we will guide them through the intake process, which will be done partly over the phone and then online.

Clients will then head to our website and complete their Intake Packet and Video Consent Form. Before their session, clients will receive an email with a link for their appointment. When it is time for their appointment, they will click the link and enter their name and password. Once they enter this information, they will enter their counselor's online waiting room. Their counselor will then begin the session.

How much does TeleHealth cost?

Most therapy services are covered by insurance and the only cost to the individual will be the co-pay. If you would like to know what your co-pay would be, please call the number on the back of your insurance card.

If you are currently uninsured, please call our office at (409)727-6400 for more information.

Does my insurance cover TeleHealth?

Most insurances are now covering TeleHealth sessions. Samaritan Staff will help you navigate these concerns.

Is TeleHealth Counseling secure?
