On The Hard Days

August 30, 2023 By Admin

On the hard days when your mood is low, your anxiety is high, your grief comes sweeping in out of nowhere, your patience is running out, you’re running on empty, you want to quit -

Acknowledge. Breathe. Rest. Cry. Talk. Create. Release.

Do not self-destruct. Do not implode. Do not explode. Do not attack. Do not go back to the habits you are working to change and remove yourself from.

And should you find that you have returned to the habit(s) you have been working on trying to change and remove yourself from, you can give yourself grace and compassion. It is unfair to expect ourselves to get it right 100% of the time. Tomorrow is a new day, and a new chance to make choices that take you in the direction you want to go. Setbacks are part of progress, and you have not failed. You are learning.

Hard days happen, but they don’t have to keep us down permanently. You’ve got this.

We’ve got this.
